Bronchoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that allows doctors to look inside the airways and lungs using a thin, flexible tube called a bronchoscope, which has a light and camera at its tip.

Why a Bronchoscopy is Done:

  • To diagnose:

    • Persistent Cough
    • Lung Infections
    • Bleeding in the Lungs
    • Tumors or Lung Cancer
    • Collapsed Lung (Atelectasis)
  • To treat:

    • Remove foreign objects
    • Clear mucus plugs
    • Perform biopsies (tissue sampling)
    • Deliver medications directly into the lungs
