Obstetrics & Gynaecology (OB-GYN) is a medical specialty that focuses on the female reproductive system, pregnancy, and childbirth. It combines two closely related fields:

Obstetrics (Pregnancy & Childbirth)

  • Prenatal Care – monitoring the health of mother and baby during pregnancy
  • Labor and Delivery – managing childbirth, including normal and complicated deliveries
  • Postnatal Care – care for the mother after delivery
  • High-Risk Pregnancy Management – such as preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, or multiple pregnancies (twins, etc.)

Gynaecology (Female Reproductive Health)

  • Menstrual Disorders – irregular, heavy, or painful periods
  • Infertility and Reproductive Issues
  • Contraception and Family Planning
  • Infections – like UTIs or STIs
  • Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis
  • Fibroids, Ovarian Cysts, and Cancers
  • Routine Exams – Pap smears, breast exams, and pelvic exams
